Microgoals

While I’m a huge lover of setting goals, sometimes setting intentions can feel punitive, which doesn’t support us in getting where we’d like to go. I irregularly set big, juicy, long-term goals, and choose smaller, daily or weekly things most months that up my energy and help me feel incredible.

I always pick a Word of The Year to guide my daily actions, but I like my monthly “microgoals” to give me high vibrations, and make me feel my most supported and cared for. When we feel “good” in our selves and daily lives, we’re better able to do the hard things in life that come our way. My word for 2023 is courage, so when I’m feeling nourished, safe, and loved, the idea is that I’ll be able to show up with more courage in my every day.

This month I’ve chosen two daily activities that require little motivation, and make me feel high vibe instantly. I’ve been craving feeling more energized and in my body, so have chosen to do 20 minutes of yoga, and my future self wants to value looking as hot as possible, so I’m also doing 30 minutes of primping and getting sexy a day. These are both easy things to do, the trick is making time and prioritizing them in my life.

We think that one big thing will come along and shift our lives for the better, but the magic is in our everyday routines. If I want to be the type of woman who has her hair blown out and looks polished everywhere she goes, then I’ll need to decide to take action in my life.

Some other microgoals I’ve chosen are 2 abhyanga baths a week, dancing to a song before 9:30 am, and daily 20 minute walks. Whatever you choose should bring an instant positive impact to your vibe, which will motivate you to continue with the practice. I hope this post inspires you to commit to 1-2 very doable things that will make you feel incredible, and support you in achieving your dreams!
