A Quick Practice For When You Feel Like There’s So Much To Do

So often we want things, and we want them now, but I’ve learned that the journey is part of the process. If we are always seeking to achieve, we miss out on enjoying the results, because we’re always searching to attain the next. Your to-do list could be endless, so instead of more action, why not try something different for a little more calm and ease in your life?

The next time you find yourself reaching or grasping to change things in your life, maybe feeling like what you desire is incredibly far away, I invite you to reflect on where you’re at in your life, specifically naming 3 things you have/are right now that you’re proud of.

Trust is a muscle. When we look back and see that everything has worked out, or that good things come in time, we’re able to breathe a little easier, knowing that we are always moving forward on our unique path.

By reflecting on what we have already accomplished, we can see that our action steps are always bringing us toward the new. Even though what we want might not have arrived in our lives yet, or in the form that we expect, focusing on what we’ve created in the past helps us trust that the seeds we planted through action (or inaction!) have already created something for our future selves.
