Intuitive Action

I believe that we’re all here to do amazing things in our own unique way, however, from a young age, we’re taught to move about the world in a prescribed manner, logically deciding on an outcome and taking the practical steps to get there.

Your desires are yours for a reason. The only way you’ll get to your dream life destination is by doing things that light you up along your path. We all have special and unique parts that are masked by the way we’ve been taught to live our lives. This might look like not caring about your appearance because your family puts more value on “smarts”, or toning down your personality because you’ve constantly been told you’re “too much”.

Intuitive action is illogical, it makes absolutely zero sense, however, you’ll have a deep, gut feeling that it’s what you’re supposed to do. You can easily find examples of times you’ve acted intuitively in your own life: breaking up with someone who was great on paper but didn’t feel right, calling up an old friend to connect which lead you to the perfect job opportunity, or even saying “hell yes” to the last minute trip which made you feel more like yourself than ever.

The point of intuitive action is that it allows for some magic from the universe. We think that we know everything, including the best outcomes for our life, but the plans the world has for us are much greater, we just need to get out of our own logical way. Think of all the most beautiful things you’ve received in your life, and reflect on how they came mostly unexpectedly.

You can practice intuitive action in both big and small ways, but I like to think of it as a muscle, starting small to understand your own intuitive voice. By starting small, you’ll be able to trust your intuition when it comes time to make bigger decisions.

Life is meant to be an expansive adventure. By thinking more with your body and heart (intuition) than your mind, you’ll open yourself up to all the beautiful and aligned opportunities already here.

Practice Intuitive Action

  1. Start small, asking yourself things like what you want to eat for breakfast, or what shoes to wear with your outfit

  2. Trust yourself and act, do the thing you feel is right

  3. Reflect on the outcomes, did anything surprise you or happen unexpectedly?

  4. Get curious about how you receive intuitive thoughts, did you have a feeling, a thought, or a deep sense of knowing?

  5. Practice frequently, scaling up as you feel comfortable
