Fall Goals

Fall and Virgo season makes me crave getting my $hit together, and taking action on the life I desire. While summer is enjoying and living in the moment, fall is structure, routine, with just enough discipline.

My summer goals are about pleasure and making the most of the gorgeous warm weather, whereas fall goals create momentum toward my dreams. I set goals differently than most, in that I pick a feeling or vibe I want to attain, and then set microgoals (small, daily or weekly rituals), that will get me into that energy. Instead of saying I’m going to force myself to do the “hard thing”, I take tiny, doable steps which help me feel like the person who does those things naturally.

This not only increases my self-power, by doing the things I say I’ll do, but also removes a lot of the fears and blocks around taking action on the bigger things. It’s like an energy workaround for your mind. Below, I share my fall goals, and how they’re helping me immediately become the person with the energy who does the bigger things.

If you’re interested in setting your own seasonal goals, you can click here for microgoals, and here for monthly goals, or check out 2023’s fall goals here. Every goal I set is a SMART goal - specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-sensitive. My word of the year is “body”, so this round of fall goals has me focused on feeling and looking my best to show up the way I desire in the world.

Fall 2024 Goals

  1. Headstand at least five breaths daily before 10 am

    1. Headstands literally turn your perspective upside down, so I aim to practice when I want to change the way I’m thinking and seeing things. They also have health benefits - great for strength, especially in the abdominal region (where our self-power is kept), enhance brain function, and they stimulate the lymphatic system. You also can’t be hungover when practicing, which keeps my social habits in check.

  2. Dance everyday before 10:30 am, M-F

    1. Dancing and moving our body brings energy, which is exactly what I’m craving. Each day I’ll pick a theme song, and wake myself up with music. I chose before 10 am so that I can start my day on a high note.

  3. Look hot and get dressed 5 days a week before 10 am

    1. Getting dressed and choosing your outfit of the day helps us feel amazing. I work from home and noticed myself leaning towards leggings and sweaters, which made me feel snoozy. Pulling myself together in the mornings increases self-confidence, engages my creativity, and connects me with my body. I also get to choose how I show up in the world, which increases my sense of power.
